Hey all I am at a lost. Have connected with the GPS and made sure my time zone setting is correct on the website. Have turned the device on and off. Still not displaying the correct time or date. Any additional help will be great. Seems ironic to be wearing a watch with the incorrect time and date on it!
Have you set "Set Automatically" to "on"? ... Long press of UP arrow button, scroll to Clock Options & select, then scroll to Set Automatically. Once on, get another GPS signal.
To clarify Max's post ALL of the Garmin GPS watches set the time using the GPS Satellite system. By doing this you have a watch that has the displayed time directly linked to the NIST National Time Clock and indirectly to the Master Time Clock in Geneva. Another benefit is that time changes and zones are set automatically. In order for this to work you MUST take the watch outside and initiate the GPS tracking system by either opening the Run or Other Fitness application. Do this by pressing the top right button once, use the middle left (up arrow) button to the Run Activity, then push the top right button once. At that point you should see the GPS status display indicator (5 vertical bars top left) and when it shows solid green you have a GPS lock. At this point you could go for a run but it's not essential for time setting, for that you just need to see the GPS status display go green. If you don't want to go for a run you can then hit the bottom right (return) button until you see the time display Home screen.
This didn't work for me either. My time is set to auto update and it just doesn't. I've formatted it. I've synced it physically with my laptop and Garmin express. I have synced it via Bluetooth to my phone. I've tracked an activity with it and synced the activity and still it just won't adjust to the correct time. I'd love some help.
ELGUEROLOCO260 Was it a GPS-enabled timed activity (such as an outdoor run)? Did you wait for the GPS signal strength indicator to turn green with all five bars lit?
