Widgets gone after update

My heart rate widget and step and weather widget is gone a few days after the latest update.Nothing happens when I press up and down on watch but if I hold up down i can get music options. Anyone any idea how to get them back on watch?
  • You can add them back in with Garmin Connect Mobile

  • I expect that you can also add them using Garmin Express, just don't ask me how to do it as I am at the poking around and see what happens stage. In Garmin Express make sure your watch is connected to your computer and click on the Manage Apps button. Once there you should see a listing of the installed applications and somewhere a method to add applications to the watch. Wish I could give clearer instructions but as I stated I'm still poking around. One thing I can tell you is that you can re-order the sequence of apps on the watch by clicking on an App with your mouse, holding the button down, and dragging the App to a new position.
  • I've had a similar problem where the buttons stop responding (except the long hold on the up button). A simple restart brought the functionality back. Weird glitch, but I figure it's just like a PC that needs a reboot now and again.

i had the same problem with disappearing widgets and buttons not responding and i havent even updated the firmware yet...i'm still running 5.4

after charging the device the widgets came back and buttons worked properly again but the clock had been changed to 12 hr, the move indicator had been turned on, and all measurement units were changed to imperial.

how the hell does this happen?
  • Most likely you hit "set to Defaults" at some point.

It could have happened in Connect Mobile, with the watch itself, or via Garmin Express/Connect. Unfortunately since the only way we have to correct something that has gone haywire is by poking at stuff and seeing if that fixes it the result will be times when we poke at something and get an unexpected result.

One suggestion that I can make is to ask for help on this forum before you start poking around. Because I've found a lot of folks here are a lot more knowledgeable than I am who are very willing to help out with some excellent instructions.
