I have a "stupid" question. I'm sorry, I'm new with Garmin.
When selecting a workout from my plan (schedule) don't work my alerts that I've set before? (alerts for pace and HR zone)
I have set a max HR Alert for the Run Profile but this does not seem to apply when I am doing a Workout that I have pre set using Garmin connect.
The HR Alet set for the run profile only seems to work when going for a normal run.
What I have now done via Garmin Connect is set an Intensity Target for the workout of a custom HR rate, 1bpm to 171bpm. I hope this will give me an Alert when I reach 171 bpm.
I set up an interval "workout" run last night and messed it up. But what I did learn was the alerts I set up in the workout worked.
For example. I set a 6 minute "run" with an intensity target of "pace" between 05:00-05:15 (or I could choose heart rate zones or custom zones). The watch buzzed Fast or Slow if I went outside these parameters.
As far as I can tell you can only have one intensity target so you would have to chose between Pace or Heart rate. I dont find that a problem as my main preference is Pace and I just look at Heart rate by changing screen on the watch during the run.
