Adding a Nap / Do Not Disturb

hi there - after a long run i took an afternoon nap. i placed the 235 into 'do not disturb' mode, but there is (1) nothing showing up in the app (2) nothing available in Garmin Connect enabling me to even add this sleep manually.

what if you travel or are sleeping on a plane, how can you enable the device to track?
  • DND and "sleep" are not the same. Setting DND during the day is for times when you don't want the watch to vibrate when you're in a meeting or something (where you don't want to be caught napping!)

There is no way to add "naps" on any Garmin device I know of with the current firmware for those devices...

Can the user not do so with Sleep Mode on the vívoactive any more? It obviously did, several months ago; has that feature (which you commented on at the time) been removed from later firmware releases?

    yikes. that's frustrating...

on my User Settings i have a different setting for sleep than what my actual watch (right under DND!) says for Sleep Time (10pm - 6am). Any idea how to edit or update that?? ...and i assume that's when the watch auto-tracks sleeping??

Click (or tap) on ≡›Devices in Garmin Connect online (in your browser, on either a computer or a mobile device), and then the User Settings ‘tab’, and you can change the preset Normal Sleep Time start and end times for the selected/particular Garmin device.

Technically, no. It is the period of the day during which lack of movement detected and recorded by the watch will likely be regarded by the Garmin Connect service ‘in the cloud’ as sleep, after the data has been uploaded to it. I've certainly seen on occasion Garmin Connect correctly interpret lack of movement outside of those hours as sleep, when I went to bed early or slept in.

What Sleep Settings get it all?

So, does this mean that in the Garmin Connect settings or profile tools we could set our normal sleep time to be the entire 24 hour span in order that the monitoring catch naps and interrupted sleep sessions?
