Mystery update?

Today at work I glanced at my watch and saw the spinner with "updating" in the middle for a couple of seconds before going back to the watch face. I took at look at the system and none of the versions seem to have changed on any of the software/firmware installed.

During my evening run I wasn't getting any auto lap alerts either audio or vibrate and it showed up as a treadmill run both on a Connect and Strava but there was still elevation data.

Anybody have a similar experience and/or know what this was about?

Yes!

I had exactly the same problem just an hour ago. Watch did not beep and run does not seem to have any gps data associated with it and showed up as treadmill run in strava. GAh I want those segments!

My run uploaded in exactly the same way. I do remember the update symbol spinning round - but I think that was just after syncing with my phone after the run, but I'm not 100% about that. The run has elevation date too, just no map.

In my case it was not beeping nor vibrating but GPS, elevation, HR and temperature were all working.
I checked my settings and they were disabled.

I doubt it.

I just checked my watch now and the settings were disabled (I had enabled them after the run yesterday), so, yes, it is because of the sync somehow that's screwing up these settings.

I keep experiencing this too. I note there's a sticky message on the Forum now, to say that Garmin are 'working on it'.

Seriously, what is it with these guys that every time they claim to fix one thing, they balls up another?

Yea, I checked my watch just now and they'd been turned off somehow. The update might've been the Bluetooth mentioned above as that's the version showing in my "about" menu.

Of course now there's updates to both the system and display firmwares so let's see how those go.

My Sounds/Vibration settings never got changed/disabled without my knowledge, in spite of (separate) updates to ANT/BLE N3 Firmware v2.30, watch firmware v5.20, and Forerunner Display A1 Firmware 2.20. I've synced, I've updated, I've checked several times over the past 12 or so hours… nada.
