Watch keeps switching to 12hr time

My 235 has recently started switching to 12hr time from 24hr time when connected to my Android phone via Bluetooth and I can't work out why!

There's nothing in the Garmin Connect app I can see about time settings, and when I check my time format on Garmin Connect on my PC it is set to 24hr time.

Any idea what is happening here and how to fix it?

Thanks

There was a fix for this issue where Garmin Connect was not saving users settings correctly. The fix for this issue was implemented last week.

There are several places that users can set their Time/Unit of Measure formats. We recommend checking in the following place in Garmin Connect online:

3 line Menu icon>Devices>Forerunner 235>Under Device Display ensure that the time format and units are correct.

We have had some limited reports of devices still resetting, and so far we have seen that either the Garmin Connect or Garmin Connect Mobile setting was still set to the default value.

My 235 has started resetting to 12-Hour format today, though I have changed nothing in any settings on the device/online/app.

I've checked on Garmin Connect online and it is still set as 24 hour, it is just the watch hat keeps on resetting.

    Any ideas?

    @WEPRERUNNER

Are you able to provide a screenshot of your Device Display settings in Garmin Connect online? As indicated in our previous post we have seen instances where the setting in Garmin Connect was still set to 12 hour time. Or if you change the setting from 12 to 24 hour and the setting is reverting back after selecting Save, please post that screenshot.

We would like to provide this information to the Garmin Connect team. Since the Garmin Connect update that was implemented should prevent this issue from occurring.

    Thanks for the fast reply.

I did a reset of the watch and it seems to have cleared the issue, though I note the device settings in Garmin Connect had reverted back to 12 hours this evening, after me checking it earlier. I did have a few other issues before resetting, vibration turned off, music controls not working (despite bluetooth connection), all of which just appeared mysteriously this afternoon. I would put it down to a simple watch glitch which a reset solved, were it not for the Garmin Connect setting changing back to 12 hours also.

I did screenshot earlier, but not sure how to link it. It is now showing as 24 hour again and seems to be sticking.

    Same thing here!

i got this problem for about 2 weeks now! First i thought the app DwMap forced it, when using this app. But it also happens at night! I already set the watch several times back to mtr, 24 hour etc. Today i did it on my Phone at devices, forerunnner, settings and then synchronized. I hope this wil do it permanent.

Whatever the issue was, it's not fixed.

Watch just reverted to 12 hr time yet again and a quick check of Garmin Connect website, showed it had changed by to 12 hour in he device settings (despite the fact I only use the website to try and correct Garmin errors such as this!)
