Sleep monitoring

Hi,
I have recently bought a FR 235 and so far I am really pleased with it. However, it suddenly stopped tracking my sleep activity. It keeps tracking steps and other activities but for some reason, the sleep monitoring information is empty in Garmin Connect (both ios app and web), just like if i didn't use it all in the night.
Any idea what's going on?

thanks
  • If you log in to Garmin Connect, go to: Device Settings -> User Settings. Do you have the fields for "Normal Sleep Time" set? I believe this drives a lot of the sleep tracking logic. I personally don't use it though, so can't comment on how well it actually works.

Hi Scott, thanks for your answer. I double checked and I do have set those settings correctly. Actually the watch used to track it good but it just stopped doing it.
  • Hmm. Have you tried all the easy stuff, like turning the watch off and then back on? Tried syncing it manually with your computer?

Other than that, I'm honestly not sure what the issue could be.

Did it stop after upgrading to the latest firmware? That happened with mine.

    Hi,
Actually no. It is brand new so I upgrade it to the latest firmware on day one and it did record a couple of nights without problem then it stopped doing it. Following Scott's advise I turned it off and on again and now it is working again.
