easy fix, unplug the charge wire/clip from computer, turn off your watch, connect the charge wire to the watch, hold the top right button, don't let go, plug the wire to the computer continuing to hold…
I'm having the same issue.. Win 10. Garmin 235 Has worked perfectly... I do believe I have installed the Win 10 service pack since last sync though..... ANyone have ideas?
Having the same problem with my new Garmin Forerunner 35:
Forerunner firmware version 3.5
Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.836) - Patched to May 2020
Garmin Express version 7.0.1.0
but Garmin Express won't see the device as connected.
Windows keeps wanting to format the device as a disk (which obviously I'm not going to do !)
For now I'm just having to use the Android app, but it's shame the Windows link up isn't working :-(
same here, what can I do?
easy fix, unplug the charge wire/clip from computer, turn off your watch, connect the charge wire to the watch, hold the top right button, don't let go, plug the wire to the computer continuing to hold the top right button and ONLY release when the computer recognizes your watch.
This worked for me
Thanks a lot
Except it turned to English settings, and I cannot get it back to Danish. Only English is a language option now.
Thanks! That just worked for me too. Appreciate the tip!
That worked perfectly. Thank you so much
I let go a bit early and lost the data for today on the watch. Is there any way to get it back?
GillesGagnon, you're my hero! I tried a long list of fixes, updated drivers, Express, many reboots, etc. This worked with my Fenix 5 on a Windows 10 machine.
I probably let go of the button too early (once Garmin Express recognized a connected device) and it took forever for the Fenix 5 to reboot. Eventually it did and when I plugged it back in Express found it quickly enough.
So relieved. Now I'm going for a ride!
