Battery life

hi buddies,

Need your advice,

Just bought a forerunner 235. After the first charge, I use it for almost 7 days (include 2 x 25 km run).

I did a 2nd full charge and off my watch. The next day when I use it for my run, the battery indicator show left with 20%.

Battery issue?

YB
  • Did you turn your watch off after fully charging it, and leave it in that state overnight?
  • There used to be an issue where the watch used more battery in turned off state then when turned on...

I *THINK* that was fixed in one of the fw releases though, but not 100% sure about that. I use the watch as a daily watch myself so I actually never turn it off.

Do you have the latest fw? (4.70/2.70). Or might want to try the latest 5.07beta fw, works fine for me. But remember that you loose your data when going back to 4.70 from 5.07 again (restorable mostly, but vo2max and stuff are lost)

    Anytime, hope it helps :)

Looked it up and indeed, this is the changelog for the 2.70 Sensor hub software...

Changes made from version 2.60 to 2.70:
Correct issue which lead to increased standby current when device is powered down
