Sync issues and watch time

I'm seeing issues with sync to garmin connect since updating - it shows a successful sync but no steps or activities are uploaded to garmin connect. I can push clock faces etc down so they are connecting.

On the watch the time is completely off also, I have to set in manually.

I've tried reinstalling the app and resetting the watch but no luck.

I'm on v4.7 and connect iq 1.2.6.

Any suggestions?

    Not sure why, but now has started syncing and time seems better

    You don't have to. The FR235 is quite capable of setting the date and time automatically by GPS if you tell it to do so, prep/start a GPS-tracked activity, and allow it to acquire a fix on GPS satellites.

    Setting the clock time on the watch has nothing to do with the Garmin Connect Mobile app. The clock time on your mobile device is not considered by the firmware to be an authoritative source with which the device should synchronise.
