Last 7 days average RHR

Hello everybody!

I've noticed that last 7 days avg. RHR values read from the watch widget are different from Garmin Connect. I read couple of threads but I didn't find a reasonable answer.

Also, it doesn't give me the yesterday average value (a red dot on the graph is missing in the same widget) as it does for the rest week days. So I only have 5 red points plus one for today instead of having 7 points. Why is that? Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Marek

The heart rate widget on the watch and Garmin Connect work from the same data set (recorded on the watch and uploaded to Garmin Connect) but calculate RHR differently.

The latest version of the FR235 firmware (4.60) does some weird average calculation based on HR lows across the day (I think). It's not very accurate. This calc is displayed on the watch only and doesn't sync to Garmin Connect (fortunately). Earlier versions of the software (pre-4.20) just took the absolute minimum HR during the day, not perfect but a lot closer.

I'm not entirely sure how Garmin Connect tracks RHR but it seems to be similar to the old watch calculation in that it is generally close to the absolute low HR during the day.

The watch widget has always had a missing day on the weekly RHR graph (the day before today), never figured out why this was and it's never been fixed either.

Long story short, use Garmin Connect if you want any meaningful estimate of resting heart rate.

same problem here, but only on garmin connect on my pc. Also it only shows may and june, seems 5 months before are missing.
the GC app shows the right RHR averages.
