We are sorry to see that your watch will not boot up after the latest update, and the troubleshooting that you have tried so far has not worked. One thing that you may try (if you haven't already) is to see if the unit will go into mass storage mode on your computer. If you can open the Garmin folder, check to see if there is anything in the NewFiles folder. If so, delete this out and try to boot up once more. If the device will not go into mass storage mode try the steps in this FAQ. If that doesn't work we would recommend contacting product support. What you are experiencing is not the norm and we would want to try and determine the root cause.

The watch can't boot. How it can be recognized with computer?
Of course all of my computers can't see the watch. Of course I will go to the support, but today is friday and nobody working on weekends. Will get there only in a few days and will wait about few weeks until they will fix it.
One of the worst experiences ever. The previous worst experience was about a month ago when I had to update to 4.2 and my OHR stop working, and I had never back on my support ticket.

Damn you guys. You have the really buggy product.
Nobody will bring my money back. Rob in the middle of the day.
  • Can you actually get the logo to disappear? ie if you press and hold the power button for >30secs? If so, do this before trying the moves in the video.

If that doesn't work I'm all out of ideas,

Yes, I can power off the watch. I press the buttons and hear the beeps, but nothing happens afterwards. Tried it million times and it stuck on logo.
Tried to boot with USB into pc/mac holding the start btn, but my computers can't find drivers.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused. Does the unit charge when connect to your computer and if so what is the battery percentage that is displayed?

The unit is charged, but there are no percentages. Nothing is displayed except the Garmin logo.
If I press the light/start button for about a few seconds, the watch turned off. I do the hard-reset trick and hear two beeps, but Garmin logo is still appears on the screen.
I keep trying to hard reset it again and again over the past two hours, but nothing helps.
Also tried to connect it with PC and MAC via USB but it only charges the device and cannot be recognized. Can't access into device as well.

Never had such a bad experience, never.

    The watch is gone
All my activities and data for the past 4 month are gone
    Money are gone
    Time are gone.

Worst buy ever. Even if I will get a new pair of watch from the customer service, and this is something that usually takes around 3-4 weeks in our country (Israel), you will never can't bring my wasted time back.

Guys, be aware before you updating to 4.6 version from 4.2 via Garmin Express (MAC), your device may not boot anymore.

    Hi

My Garmin Forerunner 235 with the same problem.

but when reset to factory settings (as in video), the clock does not sound a beep.

All the time the Garmin logo hangs.

When connected to a computer - in the device manager it determines how the GPS device is and then turns off.

Please help me fix it. I really like the clock!
