My 230 drains 0.5-1% per hour. Bt off activity on. But every night for an 8 hour sleep drains 6-7% without any use. With gps only and hrm activity drains 7-8% per hour. Is it normal for you?
  • That sounds high. Are you using any third party apps, such as watch faces? If so, try disabling them all and see if that helps,

  • yes, that sounds a bit high.

i've been sidelined due to plantar fasciitis, so i now have a pretty good data set from the past month and a half of how fast my watch drains.

i have activity tracking on, and only phone call notifications, and i i see around 21-22% drain for a week. in other words, pretty close to what Garmin promises for the 5 week watch use. i'm really impressed with this.

when i was running, i was easily getting two weeks of usage out of the watch (can't remember what level i started charging but it was plenty left) with 2-3 45 minute runs and 1 2 hour hike each week. (i.e., 7-9 hours of GPS and HRM strap use over the 2 weeks)

watch faces do make a difference (more than the default digital face) but my use of Connect IQ analog faces Pointer and Wowtch are used with the numbers listed here.

I'm using iq watche faces and one data field in my workout. I tried with in come digital watch face only and I had the same results. Soft reset 3 times but nothing change. My daily battery drain without workout is about 12-15%. That means one week most. Far away from 5 weeks garmin says. What do you believe, hard reset could solve it?

    Any ideas guys??
  • Try a hard reset and if that doesn't fix it, reset it to factory settings and see if that helps

I tried both and nothing seems to help. Now I'm about 0.4% per hour. I don't understand what is wrong. In my runs the drainage is about 5-6% per hour which I believe is normal.
  • Hello,

I have also a issue of battery (I have a post for my problem). The battery is drained when the watch is off. I also tried a hard reset, disabled the apps of Connect IQ. But Nothing.
I called the support a second time. They told me to return the Watch.

Perhaps that you must do the same thing.
