FR 230 GPS Sampling Frequency

I've upgraded? from a FR 305 to the FR 230 recently. Mountain Bike season just kicked off in my neck of the woods and I've noticed that the GPS recording does not match the actual route very well when using the 230. It was always fairly accurate on the 305 but on the 230 it's very jagged and it misses a lot of turns in the trail. The result is a recorded ride that is off by close to 10% in terms of distance.

I gave data recording set to every second. Is this normal for the 230? Does mine have an issue? Is it adjustable?
  • You have already set 1 second recording. The only other thing to make sure is you have GPS+GLONASS. This will give you double the satellites to improve the fix and location accuracy.
