Single Connect IQ install now uses 2 slots?

Just noticed that when i install something from Connect IQ (e.g. data field, or watch face) my available slots goes down by 2! If i restart the watch the count returns to what it should be.

I have 2 235 watches (one bought in November, one this month, fully updated) and this happens on both. It seems to be a "feature" of the latest firmware update (i.e. introduced bug).

Can someone else confirm it's not just me. Tim, if it is a bug can you flag it to the Garmin engineers to hopefully fix?
  • I've not seen this. Maybe it's something specific to what you installed. On what do you see this?

If in GCM you go to Garmin Devices>your watch>Connect IQ Apps>Manage Storage, what do you see listed as your apps? (the # of things listed+available slots will equal 16)

Can you do a specific test to check? I hand't noticed either until i got a new watch and was installing and removing a lot of apps setting it up, then strangely was told i had no more spots left.

Yep exactly. Lets say i have 11 CIQ apps installed (data fields, watch faces, etc). I go to this page on GCM and can see and count them, and the number of slots free says 5. I then install something and check again. Now i count 12 CIQ apps, but am told only 3 slots available. I delete what i just installed, go back here and find my original 11 apps listed and apparently have 4 slots available. I turn off the watch, wait a minute, turn it on again, then check. Yep, back to 5 slots available. Something clearly resets when i restart the watch.

Happens on both watches. Doesn't seem to matter what i'm installing.
