Battery down while the watch is off

Hello,

My Firmware is actually on 4.20 but the problem is same since I have bought the watch (she was on 3.3).
My Watch loses ~3% / 24h while the Watch is off. I use only for run, I can only do 6 activies (four for 1h and two for 1h30) before recharging.
(GPS only, not Glonass, not bluetooth and FCM)
It's not normal.

I did not have it with my previous watches (310xt, 910XT and 620)

Have you the same issue?
  • It's a known issue with the FR230/235, if you look around these forums: switching off your watch will cause it to lose/consume battery power at a higher rate than if you just left it alone but stay switched on.
  • Thanks. Yes I saw on the forum. But when I contacted Garmin (in France), he didn't know the issue. In fact actually i have the same autonomy like the forerunner 620 after two years of use.
He still no date correction by Garmin?
  • You know when this problem will be fixed because on the forum the issue dates back to two months!!

With 6 activities totaling 7h for 2 weeks (and the rest of the time the watch is off), I have to charge the watch!
  • I did the test leaving the watch on without using.
In fact, it consumes 3% of battery / day (without any activity).
==> It is the same% than when it is off. Incredible !!

Mr Garmin, when will you fix this issue?

...and this still has not been addressed in the latest update.
its been 4 months and 3 firmware updates now since Garmin acknowledged the problem. it looks like we are going to be stuck with this fault permanently
  • Actually after looking at some sites, the problem has been known for a long time (over 4 months)
Garmin mocks us!! This is not acceptable.
