Watch keeps restarting every half a hour / loosing activity tracking data (fw 4.3)

Hi,

I bought this watch yesterday and it came with fw 4.1 / 2.50 . First day was ok, but this morning I updated to fw 4.3 / 2.60 and it keeps restarting about every half an hour.

This means loosing all data which wasn't synced yet and clearing 4 hours hr graph. So from my today 1 hour walk I have nothing tracked. As one of my priority for this watch was activity tracking this is really dissapointing.

Tried to load factory settings and removed all IQ apps, but it doesn't seems to help. Anybody had same issue?

I knew from past that software development in garmin is bad, and its quite sad that nothing changed as it seems.

Guys with FR230 have same issue as the firmwares are problably identical.

For me, removing the weather widget solved it.

Just tryied removing it and restart came after 5 minutes.... EDIT: and again after another 10 minutes, so this is definitely not solution for me.

Thank you for posting your feedback and experiences with your watches restarting after the latest update. The engineering team has indicated that they have determined the root cause of the issue and will have it resolved in the next software update. I do not have a concrete release date as of yet, but we will post again as soon as the software update has been released. I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused.

I tried it, it doesn't help against the reboots. Also didn't see an update notification.

i've tried and it didn't help either. So i'm waiting for the next update. (Hope it won't screw another things)

Looks good with fw 4.6.!! Very happy from notifications finally. :)

We just released the 4.60 software for the Forerunner 235 and this update has resolved this issue.

For me it did not solve problem, i did a factory reset after installing fw 4.6. NOw i lost al my data and The watch still Has The same problem. When i put my fr235 of and back on, it keeps starting up for aprox. 20 minuts, then i can use it again.
Please solve this, very frustating. What can i do more, is it à bad model that have and do i have to sent it back?
I am from Belgium, what do i need to do? I bought the fr235 as a replacement for fr410 because i plan to run a marathon.
At this moment i am very disapointed about Fr235, iTS not a cheap watch with a lot of problems.
OHR sensor also not as good
