From the sticky:

Changes made from version 4.20 to 4.30:
•Added support for Connect IQ 1.2.6.
•Added support for searching for sensors manually.
•Improved the battery performance when used at sub-freezing temperatures.

Not really going to get too excited about this one.

I'm not sure what this means:Added support for searching for sensors manually.
Does this relate to the issue where the watch is automatically connecting to someone else's sensor?

Definitely won't be benefitting from: Improved the battery performance when used at sub-freezing temperatures.
At sub zero, I will be indoors in the warm! Hopefully it will benefit some of you :-)
  • Sounds like it might be making auto-pairing an option that can be turned off.
  • sub-freezing

Definitely some would benefit! :) Me, e.g. 8)
    Thanks!

    EDIT:
And battery percentage on the default watchface is the great addition, it was the only thing it lacked to be the best watchface.

    EDIT2:
Battery percentage appeared only because the watch after update switched watchface by itself :(
  • you only get battery percentage when it's plugged into a charger. It did that on 4.20 already!

  • Has anyone actually figured out how to turn off auto pairing of devices? I went into Settings and then Devices, but it looked the same as before.

The "Added support for searching for sensors manually." refers to the "Add New" option now in Settings, Sensors and Accessories

On selecting this option you can then search for any ANT device or a particular type of one.

This should improve the likelihood of pairing success.

Sub-freezing and sub-zero are substantially different in the US, although they are the same in the rest of the world using Celsius.

A 25F/-4C run is nice and brisk. Starts to get interesting down around 14F/-10C. :)

Not too useful at this time in the Northern Hemisphere, at least, as we are heading for warmer months but will be great when winter comes again (hopefully not too soon)! :-)
  • All day heart rate/calorie burn all wonky after 4.3

It was working perfectly with 4.2, now the 24/7 monitor has been going haywire. The four hour graph is all over the place and the calories burned is wayyyy off for my normal. Today has not been any more/less different than the prior. Did a soft and hard reset, and nothing's changed. Anyone else dealing with this? I mean seriously I have never been so nervous about updating a device in my life other than with garmin. They fix/update one thing...only to break something else.

With the last update, I noticed that the OHM took a while to simmer down. It originally had my RHR at like 38, which is insane, but it settled in at 46 or so within a day or two.

    Weather Wdiget Reboot

When accessing the weather widget on 4.30, the watch reboots every single time. Was working just fine with 4.20.
