No course/route logged

Hi all,
I'm sure this is a simple question but the last 2 runs I've done with my 235 have not logged the route that I ran. I don't believe any settings have changed and it has logged the course/route correctly for all my previous training runs over last 16 weeks.
Is there a magic setting I've missed somewhere ?

I'm nervous as I'm running my 1st Marathon on Sunday (London) and I'm hoping to allow family & friends to track me using the LiveTracking feature.

I'm also wondering if I should hold off updating to 4.20 / WHR 2.60 until after, or if it would be better to update!

Versions:
4.10
GPS 3.00
Display 2.10
Bluetooth 2.20
WHR: 2.50
Connect IQ 1.2.2

All help gratefully received.
Thanks,
Anthony
  • Strange, do you see the other stats (as in, it does track stuff)? GPS is enabled?

About the FW update, if you're happy now I would wait until after. Depending on if you value HR stats... For me the update has improved things, but for others it made things worse. Also with the OHR not properly functioning the first part of the activity.

Perhaps try a factory reset wrt to the route-logging? Would suck if this would happen during the marathon... Good luck!
  • Yes, all other data appears to have logged OK - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1137006822
    GPS is enabled.

Until now I've been really happy with the watch. Thankfully no HR issues, or cadence issues ( that I noted! - still getting used to so much data to explore!)

I've had something funky like that happen before too. I just powered my watch off, waited 10 seconds, and powered it back on and it fixed whatever the issue was.
