FR 235 not syncing since the update

The screen with the force sync is gone (when you hit down, down there used to be a bluetooth menu which is not there)

and I cannot get the phone app to sync either (which is up to date, I've toggle it on and off, turned off bluetooth, plugged in, reset the watch...)

Anyone else having the issue?

The update might have uninstalled the notifications widget (bt sync menu).

Go in Garmin express and check if you can re-install it

Anyone out there experiencing this? I've removed everything and reinstalled, but for some reason I can't sync without plugging in.

same here, for some time now.
Every time I connect with GE, the list of installed items/updates becomes longer. The watch isn,t sync anymore.

This morning I deleted some apps and tried to install them again. Downloading ok, but when sync, I got an sync error.

    Now the apps are gone.

I got the latest firmware 4.1.19.0

    what to do?

UPDATE: I just sync the 235 by my cellphone and it did work. Now it's busy sync a software-update. Don't have any idea what update it will be, because the software is up to date imo

UPDATE: seems normal now, all my apps are back and updated. While sync by my phone I got several errors, but it started sync immediately again where it stopped.

    Finally got it fixed.

I did a hard reset back to original settings, removed app and device, reloaded the app and device, and bluetooth pairing worked again.
  • I have had a sync failure since bought a few days ago, I rang the support line and after 10 minutes they spoke to me. They asked if I had installed the software on the phone again, got confused after I told them I had an Android phone and it was a One plus One, asking if it was a HTC, or a Samsung.

The conversation started a little poorly in that they didn't recognise my serial number (in microprint on the watch) and eventually told me that they would send an email with a script of something to try and if that fails call them back - no email has been forthcoming.

Much as I want to like this piece of kit and keep it, every failure or problem makes it more and more likely it will have to go back, thee are very few alternatives that I see which offer the same things as this should be able to give, should it sync with phone or PC that is
