Firmware 4.2

Has killed the OHR. Nothing. Turned off and on. Nothing. No lights, no HR. Nothing.

Well done lads.
  • Mine's still okay after the update to 4.20. Now looking forward to seeing what difference (if any) Sensor Hub Version 2.60 will make once it's available for download.
  • I got both 4.2 and 2.6. Now the bluetooth connection between watch and phone won't reconnect after power cycling both... hope it's a temporary issue.
  • Working fine here it seems (but installed it a few mins ago)

HR doesn't go to 72 anymore other then that, no clue... but the changelog (mainly wrt the HR sensor) gives hope.

    DrDougster,

I am sorry that the OHR lights are not coming on after updating the device. This is not something that we are seeing on our end. Are you able to confirm that the sensor hub updated to 2.60 by looking in the About section of the watch (Menu>Settings>System>About)?

    It says WHR 2.50

    Any ideas?

If Garmin Express does not show you that you have a sensor hub update available we can send the Sensor Hub update through WebUpdater. If you do not have Webupdater installed on your computer you can get the program here.

You should see an update available for the sensor hub in this program. Report back if the lights do not turn back on after updating the sensor hub.

    ;)

Sorted. Pity I wiped it but probably worth doing to rid it of the watch faces etc that I loaded in the first week but never use!
  • Too soon to jump up and down, but I'm feeling pretty good about these updates.

Manual syncs are probably 10 times faster. It was never a real concern, but wow is it faster.
Calories in Garmin Connect do not seem to jump up 30% after a sync (only to lower back a minute or so later)
All Day Heart Rate seems more frequent (battery life?)
Manually checking HR seems to lock on quicker instead of starting at 72 and slowly ticking down.

The real test is in about 30 minutes. 8 mile run scheduled. We will see if this thing can sort out my HR from my cadence.

Same on my watch, oHR is not working. I checked the SW and WHR version. SW was updated to 4.20 but WHR is still in 2.50. In general my watch seems to work very slow.

Please give us an advice how to fix it.

PS: Sorry, I see right now the solution with Webupdater. I will try it later and confirm if it works. Thanks.
