deleting all data (selling my 235 and getting a fenix 3hr)

I have been really satisfied with my 235...and the ohr.
But alas it is a bit lacking. As I am now training seriously for a marathon and am a stat junkie, I am getting a f3hr with running dynamics.

Can you tell me what I should do that the next owner (probably going to sell the 235 on ebay) will not se any of my data on watch or when connecting to their GC account.

...but that I will still se old data on my GC when connecting the f3hr
  • Do a non-vol clear AKA reset to factory settings. By the way, have you read the forums on the Fexix3 HR. I think you will find the OHR portion will be very similar and they share the same module and it will be using the same base firmware.

Is the non vol clear on the watch or do I need to use GC?

I know the ohrm is at same level as the 235. That is not why I am changing. I am changing up due to running dynamics & data like gct, lth, vertical oscilation, gct balance.

Also due to the fancier design and option to create and use several app (i.e. training forms) like xc skiing, SUP etc etc.
  • yes do a non-vol clear on the watch, don't touch Garmin Connect. Garmin Connect is private to you and so you can use it for for new watch, just add your watch to it will Garmin Express. When it's added set your new watch as your activity tracker and you are good to go. If you want to be ultra clean you can set the 235 to retired status in 'Gear', but you don't need to.
