Connecting a HRM-strap to my 235

Hi all,

If I want to use an external HRM (strap), how do I convince my 235 to use the external data instead of the optical HRM? I have managed to connect the strap to the 235 (ANT+). Will my 235 automatically switch to the external HRM now? Or should I adapt some settings?

On page 5 of the manual it says the 235 will use the wrist based heart monitor unless there is an accessory heart rate monitor connected to the device. It is not required that you turn off the wrist based optical heart rate monitor, but if you so desire you can do it by MENU>SETTINGS>HEART RATE MONITOR>OFF

And vice-versa if you want to revert back to optical, then find the strap sensor in the sensor list and turn if off
