Can't Update to 4.10

Hi, unfortunately I cannot update the firmware to v. 4.10. I already did the hard reset but I cannot go further. The screen has blocked on update and I can only remind for a later update.

Anyone withe the same problem?

  • Have you trying hold the light button until the watch powers down? Then restart and see if it works then.

    Well I'd say lucky you that you cannot update to 4.10.

    Unless you have had major issues with 3.30 then at this moment (purely based on my experience with my FR235 since the update) I'd say don't update. For me the issues are;
    1) It freezes and hangs quite regularly
    2) The HRM to me at least seems more inaccurate than on 3.3 (a run yesterday it told me I was running in Z5 at a 5:20 per km pace which for me is more Z3 or Z4)
    3) The HRM jumps up and down at will... yesterday it jumped from Z5 to Z3 in the blink of an eye.

    Ultimately I would suggest hang fire for now... I know if I had a way of reverting to 3.30 I would without hesitation- might not be perfect, but it was a lot better than 4.1.
  • I've been on 4.1 since it came out and till now 0 issues. I really don't know why some had problems and others not.
  • If you're having issues on 4.10 I would try resetting the watch back to factory settings and see if that cures it. For many people 4.10 works as well as 3.30.

    thank you all. Unfortunately even if I reset the device nothing has changed. It still not update to 4.10....

    I think I'll ship it to Garmin (warranty is on) but it will take around 3-4 weeks to have it back! :(

    I'm really disappointed!
  • Same problem but fixed.

    I had a problem updating, Garmin connect said that the update had been loaded onto my watch but the watch would not update. I called Garmin support and they suggested removing my watch from Garmin Express then adding it again. When I synced again the watch updated. It appears that the watch was stuck in a cycle that was broken when I removed it from Garmin Express.
