slower satellite detection since 4.10 update

Hi,

Since I received the 4.10 firmware update last week, I did go to three runs, and for each of them I noticed a much longer wait time before GPS got ready. I mean by longer it was less than 30secs before the update and now it last up to 4mins.

I've sync my watched multiple times through the Connect Mobile app which didn't help. Is there a way I can get back to a quicker sync delay?

Please let me know if you've experienced that or have a tip on how to get things back to normal.

    not what you want to hear, but it's fine here. You could try resetting to factory settings which will probably help.

    Mine has never taken more than 5 seconds.

    Opposite experience for me - my sat acquisitions have consistently been much faster since the 4.10 update.

    I did the soft reset but it didn't help. I tried to look at a process to hard reset, I do press and hold the back and start button while starting up the watch until I hear a "bip", but nothing seems to happen and the watch starts without change.

    Any clue what I can try next?

    on the last runs, I had satellites catched after more than 5 minutes...

    I have observed the same behaviour since 4.10 and made a reset. It did not help !

    I've tried to uninstall and reinstall my mobile connect app, and did multiple sync both with the computer and smartphone, and it seems it helped quite a bit but I could only test at my window. I'm going for a ride this evening and will keep you updated if that did the trick.

    Youhouuu this worked. I guess something was not in line between the phone and the watch, now I got back to the 5secs sync to discover satellites.

    Long story short, I think what solved my issue was to uninstall reinstall my mobile app, and resync with it.

    Today fast GPS fix ! why ???

    Hi,

    I really don't understand why. I have not re-install or reset anything, but today the GPS fix has been very fast ! I don't like this kind of eratic behaviour.

    I'm so sad to say that the issue came back. This week end I was going to run, and the same issue with satellite sync occured again : 10mins to sync. The multiple things that I did to try to get rid of this issue finally didn't help at all, and it just seems to be completely random.

    What's going on?! Do you think I should ask for a replacement?

    Sounds like you have a problem with the watch - call Garmin and request an RMA.. My watch picks up GPS very very quick!
