I just installed; all seems fine so far. Since the sticky announcement is closed, post your experiences here.

My experience with the HRM is similar to what has been reported. If I press the down arrow on my watch, it goes to 72 and then settles back down to my real HR. I think the trouble is that for those of us with HRs significantly different than 72, it takes longer for it to settle than the watch stays on that screen.
All I know is that my RHR, which I used to test first thing every morning on my iphone, used to be between 39-44. When I first bought the 235, I got similar results. Then, since they addressed the battery drain issue, my RHR has been all over the place. Some mornings I wake from a sound sleep and RHR is 57. Other days it's 46. That's definitely not right for it to swing that much based on my previous samplings.
Gail, if you switch to the HR widget by pressing the down-arrow. Then hold-down the up-arrow and scroll to select 'Broadcast Heart Rate', it will then sample continuously until you exit the 'Broadcast' screen -- even for hours and hours. I turn on Broadcast mode as soon as I wake up, then turn it off an hour or so later, and it always gives good, consistent RHR values because it's sampling continuously the whole time. It doesn't even drain that much battery -- if you leave it on all day it'll drain 30-40% of your battery life, not a big deal if you charge every night like me.
The only problem is that you can't display a normal watch-face while doing this. So, it's an annoyance, to be sure, but if you want good RHR data with the FR235 you can get it this way.
For me it doesn't worked - yes, it shows more consistent line but the RHR data although stays little bit lower my real numbers at the moment and even in Garmin Connect value is more reliable but again not correct - sometimes it drops to 42 while my ever minimum was smth like 46-48.
Another odd thing that if rhr calculated daily -after 0:00 o'clock (e.g. 0:30) I could see smth like 52 RHR and the lowerst for last 4 hours 60... How it could be???
So, my idea that algorythm of 235 (and GC also) is not correct... And with new 4.10 it make the same errors:-(
As TIMGROSE indicated, there were no changes to the Elevate heart rate sensor included in the 4.10 firmware update. Any changes/improvements to the Elevate heart rate sensor will come in a future software update specifically for the sensor hub. At this time there is not a specific release date for this software update.
