Garmin syncing with Runkeeper

Ive used Runkeeper for a few years and have now purchased a FR235. Ive been able to get the two to talk to each other after a workout, but the times don't come out the same.

My garmin will show a time, moving time and elapsed time, which I'm assuming is the time that I waste standing at stop lights or what not. When the run transfers to runkeeper, the distance is mostly accurate (but usually off by .01 or.02 miles) but the time used it the elapsed time so consequently my pace on runkeeper sucks compared to the Garmin.

Does any body have any fix for this? Im not ready to give up all my runs on runkeeper just yet!

    Having the same issue!
  • Sounds like it's a conversation you need to be having with RunKeeper. Clearly they are not able to read/interpret the data correctly.

I think it had that issue with the TomTom Cardio as well (ignoring pauses and just taking the start and end times).

Do you guys also have a screwed up HR display in runkeeper? It basically shows 2 flat lines as my hr, when you hover over them it makes no sense at all... (Avg heart rate for the run was 150-ish, line 1 shows 93 and line 2 shows 94...)

I did. Waiting to hear back...
  • This thread caught my eye - how do you get the 235 to talk to RunKeeper? Does it matter what phone you have? Is it something as simple as broadcasting the HR?
    Thank you.
  • What about using auto-pause to eliminate the time stopped at lights... The watch will stop when you stop and start again when you get moving.
  • Having the same issue.
After each run, I have to edit my workout and change it to the "real" time (without stops) and all the numbers are different too: HR, distance and calories.
    Annoying bug.

I didn't even know that function existed. How you do that?
I don't think it would chance the issue...

Runkeeper is aware of the issue. They said they are fixing it...
