Training plan, is there limited space on 235
Former Member
Since the last update to the connect app (coincidence or not) my training plan stored on my 235 no longer shows the next runs. I'm only 8 weeks into a marathon plan so hope this isn't a capacity issue, but if it is, how can I update to the next 8 weeks of the plan? Help!!
It's not a matter of space 'capacity' of the watch, but perhaps runtime memory for listing the workouts in the 'Menu' view that is the reason for Garmin to impose limits. With this generation it is 25 freestanding OR scheduled "Workouts" as evidenced in GARMIN/DEVICE.FIT on my FR630:
(The number 19 in the second row is hex 0x19 which is 25 decimal)
Also verified by using my own training plans... Well, at least it is an improvement. Previous generation, eg a FR620, has a workout limit of 10 stored on the watch!
How you go about copying partial plans from Garmin is beyond my ken, though. I don't use their software, but manually copy training .fit files directly into the file system.
Ah, darn it... Forget what I said. There _is_ a limit on both the scheduled and the non-scheduled number of workouts you can put on the watch. For the regular ones it is 25 now (used to be 10).
Scheduled I believe it was 30 (like 10 weeks with 3/week) on the FR620 but I've forgotten the full story - and am too lazy to experiment now. I'm obviously confused about how many survives on the FR630 but am too tired today for experiments.
Sorry about the confusion. It is a rather silly non-documented fact with Garmin watches, of which only trial and error will illuminate the present situation on the present device.

When uploading the calendar it said that synced next 2 months
Then after some time (and having watch discharge totally and loose those workouts) I pushed 'send calendar to device' button online and it synced next 2 month (till the end of the plan)
