Battery life during HR broadcast

Hi,

I would like to ask how long the 235 can last when broadcasting HR (e.g. to an edge unit). One of my considerations for upgrading from the 225 to the 235 is the HR broadcast feature. The key consideration is that my miolink band can only do up to around 6 hours before it runs out of battery. I was hoping that the 235 can do much longer when broadcasting HR.

Any experience with this (how may hours can the 235 broadcast HR starting from full battery) would be useful. Thank you.

I can't give you an exact number, but others have left their watch in broadcast mode overnight to test HR sampling and they have said it uses about 25% of the battery during that time.

Thanks this should suffice. I just needed it to last 12 hours which sounds like it should.
  • From my tests, think you would get at least 24 hours from a full charge and trying to avoid using the backlight too much.

25% overnight is about right. Kind of depends how long your night is! Think mine was about 30% in 8 hours or so.

    overnight battery use broadcasting HR

Averaging ~22%-24% battery drain over 8-12 hours; 'Do Not Disturb' active so no alerts/backlight
