Far too often I accidentally hit the lap button with trying to access the watch when wearing long sleeves and gloves. Then it blows my splits for the whole run. I wish we could disable the manual lap feature or can we, and I'm missing something?
Locking device and locking one button are different things.
I also find useful to have a possibility to lock lap button to avoid occasional presses (that ruin my workouts).

Locking isn't a viable option as I'm not able to use autopause at lights. In my city where I often run (downtown), my autopause goes wonky and thinks I'm standing still when running etc. Doesn't like the buildings and I don't like to waste the juice for GLONASS. This is not a 235 issue. Same thing happened on the FR220 and FR15 before that. Lots of steel messes with RF
What I'd like to see is something like a long-press to manually lap. End the lap at the start of the button press, but don't create the lap until it is held down for a few seconds.
I'm trying to find the lock option under apps, run But there's none. In Fenix 3 there's a lap key option for on and off.
For now I just tell my son not to press unless he really needs to skip the training program.
