Stopped tracking sleep data

Former Member

Today both Garmin Connect and the phone app are reporting that they have no sleep data for last night. I wore the watch all night and it recorded heart rate throughout, but apparently didn't recognize any of the time as sleep. I double checked my start and end sleep times and they are still okay.

Something else that makes this odd is that each of the previous two nights only half of the night was reported as sleep time. There was no sleep level or sleep movement reported for the rest of the night despite a recorded heart rate for the whole night.

Anybody else experience this? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The exact same thing has happened to me. Last two days, it would begin tracking at midnight (probably when it resets for the day), but last night there was nothing on the app.

I logged into mobile to confirm the sleep time, and it loaded from midnight on, but nothing before that.

Just confirming that my watch is doing the same thing. The last two days, it tracked sleep data from midnight on but nothing before that. I generally go to sleep before 10pm so there's 2ish hours it's missing.

Last night it didn't record any sleep data until I logged into the browser version of Connect and confirmed the sleep time. Even then, putting in a time of 9:15pm-5:45am still only tracked after midnight.

I actually like using the sleep data to confirm whether or not I did sleep well, so this is slightly frustrating!
  • I've seen this issue as well. Although my FR235 did track my sleep correctly last night, it is missing any sleep data before midnight on the prior two nights.
  • Same for me - Friday and Sunday night sleep tracking only started at midnight. Saturday was fine for some reason.

    Red Alarm Clock by Date

Got my sleep data back, not sure how really.
    Here's what I did;

Noticed red alarm clock up by the date clock stating that I changed time zones, I had not.
    Reset my sleep times
Did a hard wired sync instead of my normal WiFi
    Bingo, it's there!

Steps are still messed up but small victories need to be celebrated with this watch.

    Sleep Only Tracking From Midnight

Same for me, last 3 nights.

    Any advice Garmin???

Ditto, last three nights only tracking sleep from midnight.... this can't be an individual problem, so many others are experiencing the same issue.
  • I started a thread on this in the Connect forum (the thread where Missing is spelled Nissing) and I can tell you it's a common problem. I contacted Garmin support about it yesterday but I've yet to hear back.
