I got the Garman forerunner 235 about three weeks ago and I'm still figuring out how to use everything but for the past couple of days anytime I use the "other" work out setting, auto pause comes on within the first minute or two of the workout. I'll press play again and then auto pause will turn on immediately. In the settings of the watch, I actually have auto pause turned off, so I don't know why it's doing this. Anyone have any insight?
AutoPause is an activity specific setting, not universal. So you can have it turned on in one activity such as Run and off in another such as Indoor Bike.
Are you POSITIVE it's turned off under Activity Settings for the Other activity?
gpb11 - No, I didn't realize it was not a universal setting, so thank you. I've turned it off on the "other" setting now. But why would auto-pause come on while I'm running? It was set to "when stopped" but it would come on in the middle of my workout (today auto pause came on while I was running on a treadmill).
Unsure. When GPS is off I'd think it should still work fine using the internal accelerometer. I've not tried it, treadmill runs are very rare for me as I'm outside in most any conditions.
