Can't fully charge my new Forerunner 235

Mine goes to 98%, better than 86% but it should charge up to 100%

Charged mine to 100% just this morning (and my Wife's to 100% last night) so definitely is possible to do.
I have had success charging plugged into my laptop, as well as wall outlets and power strips with both single USB and dual USB bricks.
I know others on these boards have reported difficulty charging when not plugged into a computer, so you might want to try a few different charging methods to see if any works better than others for you.
I would consider returning/exchanging if you cannot charge past 86%!

I have tried charging from laptop , wall outlets and a powerbank, but always with the same result. I just wanted to know if some reset or update wont help, before sending them back to the store.

Run the battery completely dead and then try charging it up to see if that rectifies it.

Have the same issue. Never goes past 97%. Not that annoying as it is only 3% short but this is still driving me mad.

Damn. I sent an email yesterday directly to Garmin support, so I will wait for the response. But I think I am gonna need to send them back to the store and wait for repair or another watch. What a pain in the ass!

I have the same problem when not charging with the computer . When I connect it to a wall socket never get more than 97%, no matter the time. But if I plug it to the computer it always get 100%.

Interesting. Mine arrived today and is on charge right now - we'll see how far it goes. One query I have is that I read somewhere that you can't plug these things into wall plugs - they must be plugged only into a computer usb slot. But it seems that posters on here do plug theirs into wall sockets. No problems?

I'm a wall charger user. Only get 98%. Annoys me. Always get 100% on my 310XT.
