In case you missed this.

How is it working for everybody?

Seems OK for me.

Mine is still stuck on 66

The update loaded without error, and does show in settings. But HR still stuck at 66.

My HR has been stuck a few times in 24/7 HR mode (long time since now), but it was always fixed when I turned the HR off and on.

I've never had an issue where the HRM would get stuck at 66. It might be a bad unit for you, considering I've always used the latest beta software when it releases.

Still stuck on 66 and 96. Garmin got in touch with me after my forum post in another thread. Also, I submitted the beta feedback form that was included in the 1.42 ZIP file. First thing Monday, I'm following their emailed directions and contacting their Fitness support for a replacement and sending my 235 in for them to evaluate.
  • I encountered the 66 bug only once prior to the update to 2.41, but it cleared when I cycled the power. Overall the beta seems to be working well for me. When I first installed it, it kept cycling between my actual heart rate and then double my heart rate, but this went away after a few hours (no idea why). I've been on a couple of runs since installing the 2.41 beta and no issues at all with the optical HRM. One of those runs was intervals. Aside from an occasional blip, the 235 is tracking my heart rate very well without any cadence lock issues.

On another note... When I use the widget to check my heart rate, it does go right to 72 and then a few moments later slowly moves to my actual heart rate. The 72 value doesn't seem to ever show up as an actual data point on any of the charts...so kind of a nuisance but not really a big deal for me. Garmin might want to have the watch show something else in the widget while it's detecting the heart rate, and then start to report the value as it hones in on it.
  • Try this:

Go to the HR widget. Press and hold the up-arrow until you get the settings menu. Turn the HRM off. Back out back to the clock by using the back arrow button. Press and hold the power/light button for about 15 seconds, until the screen fades into nothing. Wait a minute or so. Press the power/ light button for about 3 seconds until you see the "Garmin" logo on the screen, then release. Let the watch boot up. Go back into the HRM widget settings and turn the HRM back to "auto".

The above has got me out of the locked HR problem. My watch just did it, and I'm on 2.41...are you reading this Garmin, fix this garbage, please!

Tried your procedure 3 times, but still no good. I'd already tried the long press power cycle numerous times, but I was slightly hopeful because I always turned off the HRM through System Settings and not the HR widget. Thanks anyway

Mine was stuck when I check it in 24 hour mode. Had to power cycle to correct.
