Tips for maximising your battery life

For those looking to extend their battery life as much as possible by turning off things they don't want / can do without, what have you tried and what effect has it had?

E.g. Notifications, BT all together (just turn on to sync?), 23/7 HR, activity tracking, watch faces/widgets/apps, anything else?

I would definitely like to know. I have notifications and Bluetooth turned off (except to sync when I wake up and go to bed) 24/7 monitoring, activity tracking, no watch face, only the battery widget and my battery life has INCREASED by 7-8% daily since the 3.20 update.

Backlight consumes power than anything else so turn off Wrist Turn, turn off it coming on with Alerts etc and keep the timeout at the default 8 secs.

Do you think that 7-8% is mostly due to no continuous BT? That's a pretty healthy increase in battery life.

If I left BT on, I would suspect I'd have much higher battery use.

To add my tip, i found i needed to have the watch go through a few charge cycles before i got the best picture of how long my battery would last. My first charge cycle only lasted 3 days, my second and third went double that with double the GPS usage.

I average ~10% per day for activity tracking+24/7 HRM and ~10% per hour for GPS activities.

Interested in this thread as I've posted similar suggestions on my first post here:

Will post subsequent updates once I've used it more, only got it 3days ago and even with a decent amount of activity and almost all functions enabled and in use (except for the "Wrist Turn" lighting - couldn't get it working consistently), it's done quite well. I think a key contributor is the firmware: out of the box, it was v3.10. A day later (Tues evening APAC timezone), it self-updated to v3.30.
