I'll give the running broadcast mode after a workout next week a shot to see if it helps stabilize. Today is my day off and the HR readings seem to be closer to what i'd expect.
Back 4-5 years ago when I was actually in shape, during HIIT intervals I could get to around 205-210 according to Polar H7, which doing a manual check seemed about right. My Max HR has always seemed to tend on the slightly higher than average side, so i'm guessing I burn less then most estimates show. When I was in shape the HR would fall back down resting levels pretty quick, a bit slower now, but hopefully I can get that spring back! :)
If I sett he Max HR on the watch higher will that cause the estimated calorie count to go up or down? I'd assume down but maybe i'm wrong there?
thought the bug may have resolved itself but no such luck.. I had turned off all day heart monitoring owing to crazy high burns, i thought I'd give it another go yesterday and all appeared well until about 2000hrs when calories for steps shot up and awarded me an extra 300odd calories for doing nothing. Heart rate did not spike either so no idea where it came from. When I do turn off the all day HR however I get really low burns from my steps (around 40cals a mile).
Anyone know if we are any further forward with a solution???
I am a new user of the FR235 and see the same issues.
On days when I have no activity then it looks fine.
However as soon as I have an activity, the totals become incorrect.
Today I ran 12km and then walked 3.3km.
The overall total therefore is 15.33 but GC is putting that as the Distance for Daily Steps and then adding the Activity distance again.
Same for the calories.

When I look at my watch it shows total distance as 15.33km so looks to only be an issue with the website
Just in case anyone is interested I found a workaround for my issue, perhaps will be of some use to others.
Before starting an Activity, whether cycling or running, turn off Activity Tracking. The watch will now not try and count steps during the activity.
When the Activity is finished, then sync the watch to upload the activity. After syncing then turn the Activity Tracking back on.
Now when looking at the website, the Total Distance and Calories remain correct.

The only issue is that you do not get credited the steps for the activity but then reading the forum here many people do not want their activity steps and daily steps added together anyway.
For the rest of the day the Daily Steps distance and active calories continue to be incremented and the totals remain correct.
Also I did try just turning the Activity tracking back on after the Running activity without syncing first and still had errors on the website so it seems a sync is required before turning Activity Tracking back on
