Beta - 3.25 (now moved to 3.30)

As well as updating the WHR module to 3.2 today Garmin have also made a new beta available.
You can download it from http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=9920

The list of changes include
  • Improved pace accuracy.
  • Fixed issues with pace and distance for indoor activities.
  • Fixed an issue with estimated time to finish for indoor activities.
  • Fixed an issue where some Activity Profiles weren't visible after a Software Update.

Who is brave enough to try it? :)
  • I don't have duplicate readings either.

I don't know what you mean? Didn't you start the thread that after the update your RHR made a file every 15 minutes, but duplicated a file actually giving you a reading every 30 mins? Are you saying that isn't the case and that I'll eventually get duplicates on 3.10/2.20?

They would be in separate updates although if you connected to GC to get the WDR one, it would probably download 3.20 as well and offer you to install it.

Out of interest what sampling rates are you getting?

So, as far as you know FW 3.2x wasn't responsible for the reduced HR sampling; it was the WHR updates? I should be able to retain my current sampling rate with 3.25 and 2.20 installed? I'm not trying to put you on the spot. :D
  • Well, I can't say wheter it was FW 3.20 or WHR 2.30 that reduced sampling, they both got installed at the same time. It's up to you to try or wait for other who have tried to install those two seperately. In the end staying on an old firmware can't be the solution as other bugs are getting fixed too. It looks like Garmin is willing to listen to us customers so we probably can expect something in the future about the 24/7 HRM.
  • Note that full release 3.30 is now out which is actually the same as 3.25.

As such will close this thread now.
