Strange - I installed the v3.30 update on my 235 and I don't see Indoor Cycling. I powered it off and back on, but I still only see Run, Run Indoor, Bike, Other.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.

I never had it with 3.20 but it came through with 3.30. You have to enable/show it though.

From an activity screen (I.e. Run or Bike) press down to get into 'Menu'.
Then scroll to 'Settings' and press enter (run button).
Scroll down to 'Activity Profiles" and press enter.
Scroll down to 'Bike Indoor' and press enter so that the switch is in the 'Show' position.
    It should be now available.

If you can't show it then you have a problem. I would recommend restoring watch to default and reinstalling 3.30 or contacting Garmin Support
  • Still no alerts in workouts... They are working when going for a free run, but not within a workout created in GC. Grrrrrrr.

    Anyone else having this issue?

When you say no alerts during a workout are you saying that (a) the alerts setup in a Custom Workout aren't working, or that (b) the alerts established under Activity Settings > Alerts menu on the watch aren't working during a Custom Workout?

If (b), that may be "working as designed" in that a Custom Workout would override the on-watch Alert setup. (a) would be a bug though. I haven't messed with these on the 235 yet.

Me too. i haven't set them for a free run, but did an interval workout yesterday - imported from Garmin Connect - and got no pace alerts. Have to do a set of 2 mile repeats tomorrow and am considering using my old watch for these type of workouts until they fix it. Its been posted on several threads here that Garmin are aware of this issue

Nope! I tried doing it and WHR2.40 is bundled with the firmware update. I'm currently regretting this, because I too preferred the HR sampling that 2.20 had. Unlike the firmware, you can't revert back the sensor version.

thanks and I am very sure i won't upgrade the firmware; or i will just have to return the watch :)

Case (a) unfortunately. No alerts when I import a workout from Garmin Connect. Sounds like it may be a bug. I hope they fix this soon as it is getting a little annoying to look down at the watch all the time to ensure I am on pace...

Okay. Glad to hear I am not alone. But disappointed this is not working. Very difficult to try and hit specific paces when you constantly need to look at your watch to ensure you're on target.

Hopefully all will be resolved in the next update. Fingers crossed.

Good luck with the 2 mile repeats!!
  • Somebody noticed there is a new Beta for WHR?

    http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=9920

Changes made from version 2.40 to 2.41:
Fixed an issue where the heart rate value could get stuck.
  • I will try that one.
My last run my heart rate was stuck on 130 bpm while i was really running harder than normal.
This means or i am in a better shape ever (not) or it was stuck.
I guess it was the last one
