Bluetooth Symbol Bug???

I have recently installed a few connect IQ watch faces, and none of the ones I tried show the Bluetooth )connected) symbol although this is visible in the picture of the watch face or mentioned in the description. An example of this is "Better Original Watch Face Version 1.0.1"

The built in digital clock is fine though.... Is it me or is this a general problem?
  • This seems to be a bug in the Connect IQ API. I have noticed the same. The bluetooth symbol is only shown when you have notifications turned on.

The developer I talked to opened a ticket with Garmin.

Thanks for the quick reply... just turned notifications on and the symbol is visible again.. Thanks :)

No worries. It's still a bug though. I don't want notifications on my watch, at least not how it is implemented for iPhones. But still it should show the symbol when bluetooth is connected.

I don't want the notifications either... hey I have a phone with me so don't need them twice. I have turned Off notifications "during" and "not during" an activity which should hopefully do the trick.

The point for me is that my phone is mostly tucked away in my pocket (and always when I run) so notifications provide a way of readily seeing if the notification is something I might need to action there and then.
