Bluetooth reconnect issues & trusted device on Android

Anyone else having issues with Bluetooth reconnect after connection lost?

My 235 loses bluetooth connection once or twice a day without any apparent reason, and doesn't reconnect until I switch bluetooth off and on and kill the Garmin connect app from the memory. Also when I'm working I go several times a day outside the phones bluetooth range so it disconnects and doesn't automatically reconnect. It's becoming a real nuisance to manually reconnect all the time. It would be really nice if the app would atleast have a connect button/option if the automatic reconnection isn't established.

One way of correcting this would be to pair the watch through Androids own bluetooth service but this doesn't seem to be possible(loses connection with Garmin connect). This would be also nice because you could also add the watch as a trusted device. Anyone found a way to do this?

Btw I'm using a Samsung Galaxy note 3 running Android 5.0

Once every day or two I lose connection and get the circular waiting for connect on the weather app. I power the watch off and back on and its fine. Also does happen sometimes when I get out of range. Other times it reconnects on its own. I consider it a minor nuisance at best.

Other than the HR I love my 235!

Bluetooth worked fine for me with my FR235 and Asus Zenfone 2 running Android 5.0

I only had 2 failed connections during the past 3 weeks, quick fix was to reopen the Garmin Connect App

I was also able to add FR235 as a trusted device through the Android Setting, try have a poke inside Setting -> Security -> Smart Lock
