Heart Rate Zones - RHR / %HRR

I just noticed in the GC webservice, settings for Training Zones has been moved from user prefs to device settings. Also, the field for Resting Heart Rate has disappeared and zines seem now exclusively calculated as %HRmax. Before I had it calculated based on %HRR, but this seems not possible anymore. I could still do the math myself of course, but it was just easier to let GC do it.

In the iOS app, the field for RHR is still there, but calculation seems also based on %HRmax.

Did you notice this as well?

Interesting. It does however allow you to put in a VO2 max and it actually automatically updates it from actual runs in the case it is available (it does in my case). I also noticed in my case it "sees" an increased hourly BMR as well? So now I get less calorie credits for runs but compensated by more burnrate than in the past. I am not clear whether it is also factoring my actual RHR data in all this but that could explain it too.

Yes, my VO2max gets updated from runs as well. This might have an influence on calories calculation, not sure, would have to check the firstbeat whitepapers.

Regarding BMR I don't see any setting for that, neither in personal nor in device settings. Or are you referring to a report?

No not a report but for example according to GC my reported calories burned by morning before an activity and corrected for time since midnight is higher than before. I assume it is using VO2max and/or RHR data as it isn't steps as I haven't done any of significance.

EDIT: I should have said RMR rather than BMR.

Ignore above. The RMR is not calculated dynamically it is merely a product of personal profile/activity class. It just so happened it came out slightly different when I changed inputs when going from a vivosmart to a FR235 a few weeks ago. Activity level cals based on HR did change...I assume from Firstbeat.
    :o

So now, what's RMR again? ;)

I wonder how much influence activity class has. I recently started running again, so I set the class accordingly. But Before it was less, so maybe my cals are calculated wrong...
