Does your battery get to 100%

So, after charging several times, my experience seems to be consistent.

After charging for several hours, when still connected, the display indicates the battery is 100%. However, after disconnecting the cable and going back to the watch face, it's never been higher that 97 or 98%.

Is anyone else seeing this? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes - same with mine... when fully charged only 98-99% ever shown - no mater how long left charging.

Have tried different laptops and phone wall-warts and the final battery charge is only ever 98-99%.
  • For me it shows 96% when it is charged.
  • When connected to a PC it shows 100% on the usb connection screen but when I pkug it out or charge via wall charger it says 98% on my watch face (SR6).

When I charge using the PC or the wall charger (USB one from Garmin), it will show 100% upon fully charged. If i use the custom watch face to read out the % of the battery, the most I can get is 98%. I learned it to forget about it. Either the API to provide to the custom watch face has issue not reporting accurate battery level, or it was not really charged 100%. I have tried on 2 235 and both are the same.
  • This was discussed in the Connect IQ forum, and a couple of things explain it.

    1) seems the way the charging circuit works, is when the battery it at 100%, charging stops until the level drops to something like 96-97% to preserve the battery (over charging is bad), but 100% is still shown.

2)for CIQ, on the new forerunners, the battery level is seen without a decimal component. So as soon as the battery is 99.999999, it's seen in CIQ as 99.000000 and displayed as 99%. (this small a drop doesn't take long) On other devices, the decimal part is passed on and it's possible to round up, so 99.999999 is seem in CIQ and by adding .5 it's shown as 100%

So, there's nothing odd happening with the watch.
