How tight should I wear it?

I recently got my Garmin 235 and I love this thing so far! Not having an HR strap is pretty awesome.

However, I've been using it as an activity tracker when I'm not on the run and it's been leaving deep marks after I wear it for 24 hours or so... How tightly should I be wearing this thing to get an accurate heart rate reading when I'm not running?
  • I recommend trying different degrees of tightness. It won't take long for you to find the magic spot for you. I do tighten the band a notch when I run, being a little OCD, I need to experiment more myself and run with it at looser. If your fingers are turning blue, then the band is probably too tight.:)

haha I haven't lost circulation yet!

I think just messing around with it, making sure that the green light doesn't show through when I twist my arms is the sweet spot. Not too tight but the sensor does leave a mark after a while.

But I also tighten it before I go running since the shock will probably expose the sensor to outside light.
