Auto Lap-Garmin, why waste 5 seconds telling me what I already know?

The point: I set the auto lap to 1 mile, when I hit 1 mile, it shows time of lap and lap number. That is super. Then it shows 1 mile for about 5 seconds. Why? I know it is 1 mile, that is what I set. Why not have that replaced by lap pace or HR or about anything else. This is not unique to the 235. Same with VVA and 920 XT. Possibly all FR models.
Come on Garmin, I know you can do it. Hopefully, I am not the only one who finds the info redundant. Chime in please. Tim talk to them. Thanks.
  • Ok, foolishly I have had the same setting on my Vivoactive and 920 XT and the issue presented itself over a year ago. In that time frame I have run over 2,400 miles and I let the frustration build up.
I think I posted this over a year ago, and I think I even sent something to Garmin. You guys were the first to recognize the "problem".
At 72, you would think I would have learned rule #1- don't swear the small stuff, followed by rule #2- it is all small stuff.
  • #3 - Be nice. The person you're scolding/berating etc may be the person you have to kiss up to next time.

    :-p
