Edge 1000 back light stuck on lowest setting

Performed a reset.

Updated to 15.40.

Still stuck on lowest setting.

Pressing "+", no response.

Suggestions?

Contacted Garmin. Led strip not working. Can sell me a refurb. 1030 for $140 w/ trade in.

Checked E bay. I can buy a new 1000 screen for $20 & replace it myself.

Took the unit apart and wiggled and pressed in some of the ribbon cable on the back of the screen, Reassembled. The "+" on the screen brightness bar now works. Unfortunately, that produces no…
