Frozen Edge 1000?

I started seeing a problem with my Edge 1000 day before yesterday when the upload file wouldn't sync to Strava. I managed to correct the file using Fitfile, but today, it froze. I reset it, eventually, but I think the power button is brokewn, so I was llucky,. However, now it is working, it won't update the latest ride. The facility is offered, but it doesn't complete. I look at the Activities files on the device when it is attached to the PC, and there is no Fit file.

This is a disaster for me - I rely on stats to get my enjoyment. Can I hard reset it?

Deleting all the history may help

Having tried the suggestion of deleting the history, to get the uploads working again, sadly this didn't work. But there is more to it; the device has never connected to my phone via Bluetooth, and still won't. And now the power button has broken. This is a common problem from what I have read, but I don't want to buy a new back panel (that includes the power button) when I still have the upload and bluetooth problem.

I somehow managed to get a factory reset, and it is all working now. Except the rubber power button civer - see other thread.
