Edge 1000 heart rate monitor connection

Just purchased the new dual heart rate monitor, however my edge 1000 just isnt finding it, my son has a garmin 130 and that finds it straight away, i have recently reset the Garmin but to no avail

any suggestions

I bought the new dual HR monitor a couple of weeks ago and had no difficulty pairing. I can't offer any suggestions, just that it does indeed work.with the 1000. I'm on software version 15.3.

Did you turn on the strap?

You have to turn on the strap by wetting the contacts and placing on your chest prior to adding to your Edge.

I have same problem. Alll my devices get the sigmal from my Garmin heart rate monitor…. But not my Edge 1000. That problem is new, it was connecting without any issue before. Now…. « The add device » keep serching them for ever :-(

please help.

Try manually connecting with the device Id. Get it from your watch or other connected device,

Hi bbrannon ! Thanks for your reply. Where do i enter the device id ? Under the name of the sensor ? Exemple, i enter the id number of my Garmin heart rate monitor as name of the sensor ? If that’s what you mean, i did it without any succes :-(

When you try to pair the sensor, is it even seen by the Edge? If not, have you tried downloading an ANT+ scanning app onto a phone and seeing if it sees the HR sensor?

Note: I don't know the name of any ANT+ scanning apps off the top of my head.

Check the battery. Even new devices sometimes suffer from poor battery power at first use.
You also can try to reset the HRM by removing the battery, reseat battery upside down for a few seconds and place the battery back the normal way. On the Edge 1000 remove the HRM from the list and re-connect the HRM.
