Maps screwed up since update & my meddling

Hi all,

Post last firmware update my Edge 1000 would not update the time following daylight savings.  It also at start up was giving message "Cannot unlock maps."

In my stupidity I deleted an older file which I thought was irrelevant.  I suspect it might have been base maps......

As you can see from my photos my map has very little detail & is extremely slow to refresh.  I used to have great turn by turn mapping & detail I could zoom into.  I used to use it when descending mountains to anticipate upcoming corners.  What I have now is me on a thin line with barely a bend in it.

When I enter into Map Information in the Garmin I can see:

  • Enabled - Garmin cycle map eu north east 2010.10
  • Enabled - Garmin DEM Map eu 2017.20
  • Enabled - Garmin Geocode Map EU 2020.10
  • Enabled - Garmin cycle map eu south west 2010.10

Should I not have something also like INTL Basemap?

It also looks like the North east map is saved on the SD card whereas the South West is saved to the devices internal memory.

How do I get back to a display like in the photo I have taken off of the old 800 box?

Thanks all.

I feel like the mapping on my Garmin is now basically gone.
