For the past 6 months or so my unit has not been giving me turn by turn directions. The route shows up on the garmin with the pink line to follow but none of the information like distance to next or anything like that. I've done a factory reset to see if that would help but it didn't do anything. I've tried routes created in Strava as well as Garmin Connect, neither work.
Has anyone else experienced this and fixed it?
Hi TrippyZ. THAT HAS FIXED IT FOR ME!! I have been trying to get this issue fixed via the Forums and Garmin support for several weeks. I have carried out multiple device resets, formatted the SD card twice and purchased a new one and spent hours trying to find out what was wrong. At no time did I realise that the device defaults to "Turn-by-turn OFF" and nor has anyone else suggested this simple fix. I just switched mine on, made the change, and it looks like I have my device functioning again for the first time in over three weeks. I really don't know how this function got switched off in the first place as, up until that sync / software update a few weeks back the device had been working perfectly. Thanks for this - I'm looking forward to my next ride to try it out for real!
