No other option !

How to update maps ? Currently , activities and others folders are almost empty

Thé initial map was in one piece, the version 2021.20 in three parts . And I needs at least the W and center parts for this sommer the east part Will be necessary too.

How

  • Do you have other maps installed beside the Garmin Cycle Map? If yes, them move them to a backup. Then try to re-install the GCM EU 2022.11 using Garmin Express.
If still error message of too little space, you can try to move the files that belong to the GCM 2021.20, together with the corresponding .gma and .unl files to a backup to make free storage space.
These files are D6016070A.* , D6017070A.* and gmapprom.*
Also you can move the DEM Map gmapdem.* and the Geocode Map gmapgc.* (including .gma & .unl)
Remember - if you are on Apple to empty the trash.
Now try the map update again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Thank you,
I didn't have any other map than the one installed when I bought the GPS, and updated a first time via Garmin Express last fall.

That's what I finally did: move the 6 files corresponding to the 3 maps EU East, West and Central (*.img, *.gma and *unl) it's the .img files that are by far the heaviest.
While the first update, had worked properly. I do not understand that Garmin express does not manage this.

Moreover I was afraid that by moving the maps on another support, GarminExpress, does not know that maps are to be reinstalled on the GPS.
